Madrid's Central Park, the well-known lung of the capital. It is not just a park, it is a place where there are many anecdotes and you will discover them from the hand of a guide who will accompany you during this visit.

Itinerary

We will meet at the indicated time at the Puerta de la Independencia del Parque del Retiro, which is located in front of the iconic Puerta de Alcalá.

We will begin our guided tour of El Retiro Park by taking a walk to the mythical El Retiro Park pond, which is presided over by the monument to Alfonso XII. In this area we will remember, among other stories, the hobbies of King Philip IV, who ordered the construction of the pond of the then Buen Retiro.

After learning more about the history of the park, we will contemplate the two palaces of El Retiro: the Palacio de Velázquez and the famous Palacio de Cristal, originally conceived as a greenhouse.

We will finish this guided tour of El Retiro by admiring other "jewels" of the park, such as the Parterre, one of the most popular places in the park, where we will lose ourselves in the perfect lines of its paths, contemplate the straightness of its trimmed hedges and see the shadows of the cypress trees moulded into whimsical shapes.

After an hour and a half's walk, we will finish the tour at the Parterre and, from that moment on, you can visit on your own the areas of the park that you liked the most.
