Aitor López Rekarte is one of the legends of Real Sociedad. After growing up in Zubieta's youth ranks, the full-back played 338 games with the first team and was one of the key pieces of the squad that was proclaimed runner-up in the 2003-04 season.

A quality winger with a lot of offensive projection, Aitor formed a duo with Karpin on the right wing that is still well remembered among Real fans. In addition, he wore the Txuri Urdin captain's armband for three seasons. Currently, among other things, he is a commentator on DAZN.
